We can do more to ensure that people have access to wild nature wherever they live.

When I think of wild nature, I think of beauty, creativity, wonder, joy and opportunity. It would be hard to imagine life without these powerful gifts. So it is discouraging to think that so many people lack the opportunity to experience nature in abundance where they live. Society suffers greatly as a result. But we can correct it, as a matter of justice, but also because it is in our nature to wander, play and celebrate together outside. All the wild things deserve the opportunity to fly and swim and roam as well. Nature’s needs should be held close to our hearts as we value the relationships that unite all.

The WILD Cities campaign invests its time and resources into collaborative projects and policy campaigns for collective impact. The three-fold purpose of the campaign is to engage and connect people, advance WILD City projects directly and in partnership, and contribute wherever possible to changing or creating better nature policies and priorities, particularly in areas currently lacking in access to wild spaces.

Your donations to WILD Cities go directly toward the campaign to advance on-the-ground work and build more support for effective policies to protect, restore and regenerate wild nature in urban areas around the world. Thank you for your support!

WILD Cities is a Collaborative Conservation Partner of WILD Foundation – a 501(c)(3) U.S. nonprofit organization working internationally to protect and connect wilderness, wildlife and people. Donations to WILD Cities of any type are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
